Aloha! My name is Anh Nguyen, an international student from Vietnam. I’m a senior majoring in Communications, concentrating in multimedia.
Growing up in a place where little changes in the ocean or weather can heavily affect people’s lives, I have been aware of climate change and the important of nature since I was a child. At the age of 17, I came to Hawaii to study and soon fell in love with the mountains and forests here. However, the more I got to know about Hawaii, the more I found out about serious issues these islands are coping with. Hawaii is dealing with the same problem as Vietnam, and even more. I thought to myself that this is the time for me to step up and use my skill in multimedia to do something. That is the reason why I became a part of Aloha○Nature.
